Success of attendance at the Scientific End

The rain was not an impediment for more than 10,000 people, according to data from FECYT - Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology-, they approached to the VII Scientific End in the MUNCYT - National Museum of Science and Technology-. The seventh edition of this fair, the third to be held consecutively in Alcobendas, opened its doors on Saturday 22 at 11:00 am with more than 40 stands of schools, museums and research centers and placing special emphasis on the tribute Don Quixote for the 400th anniversary of the death of Cervantes.

The visitors could enjoy a program with more than 200 activities , workshops and games. Among them, the workshop "Looking for life in the universe" , developed by the Scientific Culture Unit of the Center for Astrobiology (CSIC-INTA) . The activity counted with three sessions in the morning and another three in the afternoon, both days, and in all of them the attendance was remarkable. The workshop consisted of three experiments that had the participation of the public. Also, some researchers from the center participated in the activity explaining their research to the attendees.

The fair, organized by FECYT and MUNCYT , with the collaboration of Obra Social "la Caixa" , concluded on Sunday 23 at 7:00 p.m. with the best data of its history and anticipates that next year the number of visitors will continue to grow.
