NEW BREASTFEEDING ROOM/INCLUSIVE RESTROOM

This December 2025, we opened our inclusive nursing room/restroom

We have set up a spacious and comfortable breastfeeding area so that all our breastfeeding mothers can feel at ease and have complete privacy.

In addition, since it is a very spacious area, there is an inclusive restroom so that everyone can feel comfortable.

Toward More Equitable Hiring in Research: An Analysis of Barriers and Intervention Strategies

This seminar will be presented on May 13, 2025, by EVA LUNA DÍAZ GARCÍA of the Department of Sociology: Methodology and Theory at the School of Political Science and Sociology of the Complutense University of Madrid,
and will focus on:

“Equal opportunity is the principle that asserts that all individuals should have the same chances to access opportunities, resources, and rights in society. However, when we analyze access to research careers, we see that this principle is not fully realized due to both conscious and unconscious biases that perpetuate existing inequalities in our society. Therefore, in this seminar, we will learn to identify the biases that arise due to gender, race, and LGBTIphobia, as well as the challenges we face in achieving more equitable hiring practices.”

LGBTQIA+ Diversity in Science: A Seminar by Pablo Turrión

On October 28, 2024, Pablo Turrión gave a seminar titled “LGBTQIA+ Diversity in Science” at the Center for Astrobiology. Pablo is a computer and telecommunications engineer and a volunteer at PRISMA, a non-profit LGBTQIA+ scientific association, where he works in the Education and Communication department. Women in the field of technology and information

On March 8, 2023, María Paz Zorzano, a researcher at the Center for Astrobiology, spoke as a representative of the Ministry of Defense at the conference “Women in Technology and Information,” organized by NATO. There, she had the opportunity to share her ideas on how to engage young people and create role models to inspire them.
