LAEFF Reporter

The magazine “LAEFF Reporter” was created and coordinated since 1995 by Concha Prieto, who at that time was part of the management team of the centre, and a small editorial team, with the aim of informing the Spanish community in astronomy and fundamental physics of the activities of the various groups that made up the Laboratory.

The magazine dealt with subjects as diverse as solar physics, the universe in radio and general relativity in an accessible language. The last issue, number 45, was launched in November 2008.

The LAEFF (Laboratorio de Astrofísica Espacial y Física Fundamental), LAEFF, the genesis of what is now part of CAB’s Astrophysics Department, was a centre attached to INTA’s Space Sciences Division and was based at the then European Space Agency Satellite Tracking Station (VILSPA), now the European Space Astronomy Centre (ESAC), in Villafranca del Castillo.
