CARMENES reports the strongest evidence to date for a magnetic field on an exoplanet

The journal Science publishes a study led by CSIC centres that provides the most compelling evidence of the influence of a planet on the behaviour of its star.

The results have made it possible to detect and estimate the intensity of the magnetic field of the exoplanet GJ 436 b, opening a new way to study the habitability of planets outside the Solar System
