The Centro de Astrobiología (CAB), CSIC-INTA, celebrates the awarding of a Junior Leader postdoctoral fellowship from the “la Caixa” Foundation to the researcher Laura Colzi, currently a postdoctoral researcher at the center.
Laura Colzi carries out her work within the MIRAME (Measuring Isotopic Ratios Across Multi-scale Environments) project, focused on studying the origin and evolution of chemical elements in our Galaxy. Her research uses the isotopic ratios of hydrogen (H), carbon (C), and nitrogen (N) to reconstruct how these elements formed and evolved throughout the history of the Milky Way, from its central regions to its outermost areas.
The awarding of this fellowship recognizes the researcher’s scientific excellence and reinforces the role of CAB as a leading center in the study of astrochemistry and galactic chemical evolution.
The Junior Leader fellowships are part of a program aimed at fostering research talent in Spain and Portugal, supporting the development of independent scientific careers in institutions of excellence.
