He carried out his thesis at the University of Nottingham, UK, studying how the evolution of galaxies is influenced by the different phenomena associated to the environment where they reside. Specifically, his work has been focused in the study of the mechanisms responsible for the suppression of star formation and the morphological transformation that galaxies experience in the regions of highest density, the clusters of galaxies.

From the beginning of 2015 Bruno has been working as a postdoctoral researcher at CAB, where he concentrates on the study of galactic outflows in galaxies with intense star formation or with an active nucleus (AGN), exploring the impact they might have on the evolution of the host galaxies. Additionally, he is associated to the GTO team (Guaranteed Time Observations) of NIRSpec, one of the instruments aboard the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST). Currently, he is preparing for the scientific exploitation of the first observations that will be taken with the JWST after its launch, planned for October 2021.
