Since the year 2000, I am an investigator of the Center of Astrobiology working in the areas of design, analysis, manufacturing and CFD (Computational Fluids Dynamics) modelling of space instrumentation.

In the year 2006 the Center of Astrobiology(INTA-CSIC) was selected for an Spanish instrument to be onboard the Curiosity Rover of the NASA Mars mission,( MSL) developing the weather station REMS (Rover Environmental Monitoring Station) onboard the mentioned mission. In this project my responsibility was the mechanical manufacturing of all the flight sensors and the CFD modelling of the rover influence in the wind sensor.

During 2006-2020 I have been responsable of the focal plane of Safari Instrument, coordinating the structural and thermal design and analisys of the cryogenic structure at 4K, within the ESA-JAXA consortium for the development of the infra-red SPICA telescope. During the last years I have coordinated the spanish activities with the Japanese and European agencies as Safari was selected as one of the three candidates for the next M5 mission.
