We analyzed the egg chorion morphology of different populations of taxa of the Lysandra coridon group cited in the Iberian Peninsula. Using scanning electron microscopy, we have found three perfectly differentiated morphotypes. One would correspond to L. coridon, L. coridon asturiensis and L. caelestissinta, a second to L. hispana and the third to L. albicans. The important and constant differences between the eggs of L albicans and L. hispana. separates them perfectly as cryptic species and has served as an effective method to frame the different populations in one or the other species. We expanded the range of L. hispana to the South of the Iberian Peninsula and confirmed that there are important populations of this species that present a single generation, specifically in the Levante area and in Granada province mountains.
