Selected press releases
My recent work published in Nature Astronomy on the unexpectedly rich hydrocarbon chemistry found in obscured AGN (García-Bernete, et al. 2025b, in press) is going to be published in a “Research Briefing” for Nature portfolio, which make the results more accessible to a wider selection of research not specialised on the complexities of the work, and will be presented in a press release in CAB. In 2022, I have led the first JWST investigation of the nuclear PAH properties of luminous AGN galaxies (García-Bernete et al. 2022d) has been published in press releases at the Univ. of Oxford central news (“JWST reveals new surprises on galaxy organic molecules near black holes”) and the IAC (“El JWST investiga moléculas orgánicas cerca de agujeros negros”), and it has been also highlighted in the Univ. of Oxford/Physics Newsletter (“JWST shed light on galaxy organic molecules in BHs”) and featured as Picture of the Month (front cover) in an important Newsletter in the field (AstroPAH; Issue 94). This press release had a significant impact on the international media (being also features in https://phys.org/).
My previous work (García-Bernete, et al. 2022a) was also highlighted in an article in the Univ. of Oxford/Physics Newsletter (“PAHs a new tool to probe the AGN”), and in the AstroPAH Newsletter (“in focus article”; Issue 81).
