Venue

The 1st Team Meeting of the SHARDS collaboration will be hosted by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and it will be held in the Physics Building. The dates are June 20 and 21, 2013.

Talks and events

Please, send a title for your presentation using the following web form, also indicating when you will arrive and leave Madrid, so we can plan the talks and events accordingly. We will start early on Thursday and finish no later than 17:00 on Friday so people can get back home on the same day, if they wish.

We will make a reservation for lunch in the same Physics Building for the two days, and charge a registration fee of 36€ (18€ per day) to cover that and coffee breaks. On Thursday, we have arranged for a group dinner in the restaurant La Vaca Argentina Gaztambide (to be paid individually, 35€). This is a map of the restaurant location. Please, fill the registration info about meals so we have a head count.

Hotels

These are the hotels we normally recommend to people visiting Madrid and coming to UCM:
  • Hotel T3 Tirol, Marqués de Urquijo 4. This one is close to our university, just two stations away by underground. But it is further away (a couple of km) from the center of Madrid.
  • Hotel NH Zurbano, Calle Zurbano 79-81. This hotel is normally used by people attending JWST meetings in Madrid. Very centric.
  • NH Alberto Aguilera, Calle de Alberto Aguilera 18. Used by Herschel Science Center meetings.
  • Hotel HUSA Moncloa, Princesa 40. This one is also very close to the university. But it is also further away (a couple of km) from the center of Madrid.
