Super conducting resonators promise to be crucial elements in upcoming scientific breakthroughs as enabling technologies for many applications such as astronomical detectors or quantum computing. At Centro deAstrobiología, we are focused on the development of KineticInductance Detectors (KIDs) as state-of-the-art detectors for mm/sub-mm/fir astronomicalexperiments that require high sensitive large format cameras as the study ofthe Cosmic Microwave Background radiation and of the formation and evolution ofgalaxies, stars and planets. Superconducting circuits are a key technology inthe development of quantum computers as well. In this sense, we are working on the development ofsuperconducting circuits for its use in MolecularSpin Quantum Processors which represent a promishing large scale alternative to the traditionalquantum computing architectures based on superconducting qubits. In this talk, I will explain the complete developmentprocess going from the basic superconductivity, passing through the design, fabrication and characterization of the developed devices and finishing with itsapplications.
