Centro de Astrobiología (CAB) is a joint institute participated by CSIC and INTA. Its Governing Council is therefore chaired by CSIC President and INTA Director General, to whom the CAB Director and Deputy Director report. CAB has four departments (red), each of them having different research groups (green). Additional units such as the Scientific Culture Unit (UCC) and IT Support provide the required support for the operations of CAB. The departments operate a number of laboratories and facilities covering the very different areas of activities.
