MdM ACADEMY
THE CAB’S MdM ACADEMY OF ASTROBIOLOGY IS A TWO YEAR-LONG (2019-2020, 2020-2021), TAILOR-MADE CAPACITY-BUILDING ACTIVITY IMPLEMENTED WITHIN THE FRAME OF THE “MARIA DE MAEZTU” EXCELLENCE PROGRAMME. IT IS AIMED AT STRENGTHENING AND DEVELOPING NEW CAPACITIES AND STIMULATING THE TRAINING OF YOUNG RESEARCH STAFF.
The activities are aimed primarily at PhD students, post-docs, undergraduates, trainees and internship students, but are also open to senior R&D staff.
The ” cooperative learning ” methodology is used, which can work also for team building, with the aim of:
- promoting interdisciplinarity by teaching all areas of astrobiology,
- training in other skills needed in science (new interpersonal and communication skills, project and financial management, bibliographic databases, online resources, etc.),
- presenting the different stages of the research career and
- promoting the national and international visibility of the centre.
