José Luis Crespo is a physicist, founder and director of the popular science YouTube channel QuantumFracture. Today, with more than 3 million followers, he is one of the most influential in the field of popular science in Spanish-speaking countries. In addition, Crespo has been part of the outreach staff of the Institute of Theoretical Physics in Madrid and organiser of Cultube, an annual event where different digital popularisers meet to showcase different ways of popularising science. He has also been a contributor to the RTVE television programme Órbita Laika. José Luis will talk about his most personal experience: from when he studied physics, through the outreach group of the Institute of Theoretical Physics and ending up as the most influential Spanish-speaking YouTube outreach worker. He will thus draw out the importance of scientific dissemination, which can be extrapolated to any scientific institution that wishes to successfully transmit knowledge to society.
