Is the Atacama Desert still a proper Mars Analog model?

The Atacama Desert in northern Chile is well known for been the driest desert in the world. However, a number of changes are taking place in this extreme environment thought to be caused by global warming. Knowing how these changes are affecting the Atacama is critical to keep considering this desert as a proper Mars analog model.
