PanCET: a treasury of exoplanet atmospheres

The Panchromatic Comparative Exoplanetary Treasury Program (PanCET) is a Hubble Space Telescope Legacy Program, awarded in 2016 with 500 orbits to study exoplanet atmospheres. Its final objective is to compare the atmospheres of a wide sample of exoplanets, to understand how the different stellar and planet parameters condition the outcome of the atmosphere. The program is also supported by a complementary set of X-ray observations, to evaluate the stellar high energy irradiation and activity level. The analysis of each of the 20 planets is providing a number of successful interesting results, such as the first exoplanet stratosphere, the finding of material evaporated in a planet at the edge of the evaporation desert, or ionized material escaping from an atmosphere.
