ASTROBIOLOGY DAYS

We begin a series of biannual conferences dedicated to Astrobiology for all audiences with the participation of leading specialists, including CAB researchers.

Astrobiology is a multidisciplinary science that connects other sciences such as astrophysics, biology, chemistry, geology, computer science and others. Scientists work in interdisciplinary groups on subjects as diverse as the genesis of biomolecules in the laboratory, molecular evolution and the origin of life, extremophile microorganisms, advanced instruments to study the habitability of Mars, icy worlds, chemistry in the interstellar medium, the search for terrestrial exoplanets and life in planetary exploration. In this sessions we will try to answer the following fundamental questions on astrobiology: What is life? How did life on Earth arise and how does it evolve? Is there life elsewhere in the Universe? What is the future of life on Earth and elsewhere?
