Pablo G. Pérez González is an expert in galaxy evolution studies using multi-wavelength data coming from the deepest photometric and spectroscopic cosmological surveys. He is the Principal Investigator of the SHARDS project, an ESO/GTC Large Program awarded with 180 hours at GTC, and the SHARDS Frontier Fields project, the only GTC Large Program ever approved by the Spanish CAT, counting with an additional 240 hours of observing time with GTC.

PGPG is the creator of the Cosmological Surveys Rainbow Database, developed and used for international collaborations such as AEGIS (I am a co-I of this international consortium), CANDELS (I was an affiliate membership since 2013), GOYA, or J-PAS (I am a co-I). The Rainbow database has also been used by the HLS Team (I am a co-I of the HLS). The Rainbow database has also been used by the HLS Team (I am a co-I of the HLS). I am also a co-I within the JWST-MIRI and NIRSpec Guaranteed Teams, as well as the JWST-CEERS project.

PGPG worked as Professor at Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he taught courses on General Astrophysics, Galaxy Evolution and Cosmology, and Astronomical Instrumentation, among others. Currently he is a researcher (Investigador Científico) at CAB/INTA-CSIC and Honorary Professor at UCM.
