The Space Instrumentation Group works in the development of instrumentation for space exploration at all stages of development: from the conceptualisation and prototyping of novel ideas to the management and operation of instruments embarked on planetary and astrophysical space exploration missions, as well as the development of planetary environment simulation chambers for the testing, calibration and analysis of the instruments developed.
The members of the research group cover, in this context, almost all disciplines involved in this development: mechanics, electronics, software, logistics, calibration and scientific operation, among others.
